Apple Pages Tips
Apple Pages is a free app you can download on the App Store (for MAC computers).
Editing Text
To customize the template, you can simply type over any existing text. You can also copy a recipe from another document (or online), then select the text in the template and paste your text over it.
To keep the original formatting when pasting text, please use one of these methods:
Paste and Match Style
When pasting your new text, use the Edit > Paste and Match Style option under the Edit menu.Styles
You can also use paragraph styles after you paste your text to fix any formatting issues. You can use pre-defined styles for text, titles and subtitles.
To apply a style, simply select the text you want to format, and then click the style you want from the Styles gallery. In the Format sidebar, select the Text tab and choose a pre-defined style from the drop-down menu.

In the Format sidebar, click the Image tab.

Adding Links to TOC
You can turn text or certain objects into a link that jumps to another page. This is very handy especially when you are viewing your template on an iPad or phone and want to quickly navigate between the sections of your document.
Control-click on the section box (on the TOC page), choose Add Link, then choose a destination - Page.
Click the Page pop-up menu and choose the page you want to link to.
Tip: Once printed, use plastic binder sleeves to protect your pages from water damage.
Printing
When printing your document, please make sure to select Actual Size under Page Sizing. Select document size as 8.5x11 or A4 depending which template you are using. You can choose to print your pages double-sided or single-sided.
Printing Half Letter (5.5x8.5)
To print 2 pages on one sheet of US Letter size: Under Page Sizing, click on Multiple and select Custom 2 by 1 for Pages per sheet. Orientation - Landscape. If you’d like to print only some pages (not the whole document) select the page range under Pages.
